Adam J. Martin, DDS, MS

Dr. Martin was raised and educated in Provo. He graduated with honors in 1999 from BYU and was then accepted to the top-ranked dental program at University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio. In 2003 Dr. Martin graduated Summa Cum Laude, the highest honor conferred on any graduate in his class of 100 students. He was also selected for the national dental honor fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Dr. Martin dreamed of becoming an orthodontist since the tenth grade, when he had braces. After dental school, he was accepted to the graduate orthodontic residency program at Baylor College of Dentistry-Dallas, Texas. There he completed two additional years of advanced training in the theory and practice of orthodontics and treated patients under the tutelage of some of the most renowned orthodontists in the nation. For his graduate thesis, Dr. Martin conducted a scientific survey on smile attractiveness. Dr. Martin’s favorite part about being an orthodontist is helping patients of all ages. He loves doing his very best to give each individual the best smile possible. He pays close attention to detail and promises to make your braces as comfortable as possible. In his spare time, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his siblings, nieces, nephews, and parents who live in Salt Lake and Provo. He loves just about anything to do with the outdoors and is especially passionate about downhill skiing. He is excited to be living in his home state of Utah and looks forward to raising a family here in the Roy area.

Darrell G. Smith, DDS

Dr. Smith attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University for his undergraduate education. He was then accepted at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry for their dental educational program. Dr. Smith received annual Scholarship Awards for being one of the top three students in his class during his four years of dental school and was nominated into the honorary dental fraternity, OKU.

He graduated in 1968 and accepted a two-year dental internship with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Seattle, Washington. He subsequently was accepted in the Graduate Orthodontic Program at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry graduating in 1972, completing two additional years of advanced education at which time he began his orthodontic practice in Roy, Utah.

Dr. Smith's credentials, combined with his love for children and his genuine concern for the well-being of his varying age patients, makes him an outstanding orthodontist. He resides in Roy with his wife, Carole Dawn. They have four sons and four daughters – Jeffrey, Curtis, Mike, and Greg Smith; Debra Kohli; Susan Ellis; Christie Korhonen; and Cari Burningham. He enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, sailing, fishing, boating, skiing and snowmobiling.

  • Members of the American Association of Orthodontists (requires two additional years of graduate training to permit announcement as a "specialist" in orthodontics)
  • Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics (needs to meet very strict requirements of the American Board of Orthodontics)
